On September 7th and 8th, Zion Education Group, in partnership with Aizhong Consulting, welcomed Teacher Kevin Lian to lead the ‘Communication, Collaboration, and Leadership Development Workshop’ for our dedicated teachers and management teams. Employees and teachers from the group’s affiliated institutions, including the Nebula School, Trinity Montessori Education Center, and Redwood Development Center, all participated in this training.
For the past 20 years, Zion has been dedicated to providing rich learning opportunities and training sessions for its staff, helping everyone to foster continuous personal and professional growth. Throughout the two-day workshop, Mr. Ronny Hei, the CEO of the group, and Mr. Michael Hei, a board director, were fully engaged, participating alongside our team to experience the learning journey together and inspiring everyone with their encouragement and support.
Kevin brought extensive experience in corporate consulting training, internal training systems, and management leadership training for the team. His engaging and approachable teaching style effectively clarifies complex theories and models, creating an atmosphere that feels both invigorating and inspiring for all participants.
Communication is essential in interpersonal interactions. Our administrative staff and teachers engage with parents on a daily basis, which makes effective communication particularly particularly crucial. By fostering clear dialogue, we can eliminate misunderstandings, enhance mutual understanding, and promote collaboration.
Through the training, teachers learned how to create a communication “space” through smiles, compliments, and active listening; how to deepen communication and trust with parents through “trust conversations”; and how to collaboratively set learning goals and improvement plans with parents through feedback discussions on teaching management.
Communication going beyond simply conveying information; it is also about sharing emotions. Ultimately, through communication, we reach consensus, inspire action, and catalyze transformative change.
The training also included numerous group discussions and simulation opportunities, providing everyone with an excellent opportunity to internalize the models they learned.
At the same time, the joy of “co-creation” enhanced everyone’s sense of participation and enthusiasm. The collective power of collaboration allowed us to view challenges from diverse perspectives, leading to fresh insights and strengthened unity.”
Practicing while learning, reflecting during practice, and expanding thinking during reflection. This training has ignited a strong desire among our partners to apply what they’ve learned in their future work. They are eager to integrate these insights into their teaching practices, enhancing home-school communication and achieving even better educational outcomes.
Thoughts and Feedback

This training gave me a lot to think about. Whether it’s the group or our NS, for the past 20 years, we have consistently provided high-quality Montessori education for children. If we are to continue upholding this educational mission, we need to keep learning and gain the trust of more parents through our professional abilities. I am very grateful to the group for giving me this opportunity to improve myself.

Through this training, I learned how to consciously improve my communication methods, build stronger team cohesion and trust, while also enhancing work efficiency and quality. This training also prompted me to reflect on myself and made me realize the importance of continuous learning and self-improvement as a mid-level leader at NS. Through continuous practice, I believe I can lead my team more confidently in my role.

Everything we learn and experience will ultimately translate into our teaching practices and quality, and then benefit our children. As they grow up, they will also be inspired by this spirit of learning, continually challenging themselves, expanding their horizons, and helping more people. I believe this is the true essence of passing on the spirit of education.

This training mentioned “resilience,” a crucial ability needed by both the current and emerging generations in this era. We are facing many challenges in the society today. It is essential to accept reality while adjusting our mindset, maintaining our passion and motivation to move forward. We must transcend ourselves through shifts in awareness and concrete actions. I believe that as a group that has dedicated 20 years to education, we have the capability to excel and show more people the results of our efforts.
Staying true to our original intention is a principle we consistently uphold, and continuous learning is a value we always practice. We cultivate trust through genuine connections and build our reputation on expertise and excellence. I have full confidence that every Zioner will continue to work hard, infusing Montessori education with renewed energy and vitality, ensuring that the transformative light of Montessori shines brightly in the hearts of every child!
