Welcome Back to MSS!

With great love and lots of preparation,

we had the first day of school on February 19th,

in the spring of 2024!

All three MSS campuses have carefully

prepared their opening ceremonies

to welcome our children back to school!

First Day at XH Campus – Spring 2024

“Get a good word” is a traditional custom in China to express our good wishes, when specific names of the food in Chinese are related to good wishes. At MSS Xuhui campus, children are greeted with such lovely “good words”: persimmon symbolizes “everything goes well”, green onion – “smart and clever”, apple – “peace and safety”, lollipop – “learning well”, pistachio – “smile always”, orange – “wishes come true”, strawberry “no worries”, and Wangzai Milk – “good health”!

These meanings carry the best wishes of the faculty and staff members at Xuhui campus to our children: we wish they all a smooth, healthy and safe new year, and continue to thrive in a respectful, friendly and inclusive Montessori environment!

First Day at WHQ Campus – Spring 2024

On February 19th, children met the festive “God of Wealth” as soon as they stepped into the WHQ campus! The “God of Wealth” prepared the small gifts for children, wishing them a sweet and wonderful new life!

At the end of the school day, WestHQ campus also specially prepared a full set of Chinese calligraphy tools for parents who came to pick up their children, inviting both parents and children to write down Chinese characters of wishes and Spring Festival couplets together as New Year gifts to their families!

First Day at MH Campus – Spring 2024

Minhang campus had “LinaBell” and “Strawberry Bear” as their welcoming ambassadors on the first day of school to greet the children at the school gate!

Parents walked on the red carpet holding children’s hands, came to the “red envelope wall” together, and rang the bell…then a lucky “little red envelope” would show up! The staff members and teachers at Minhang campus sent their best wishes to parents and children that they would have a more abundant school life benefiting from the Montessori education we would be providing in the spring semester!
