A New Look at the XH Campus!

In order to provide high-quality service and experience to parents and children, Xuhui campus has been launching a campus upgrade program since the beginning of 2024 and officially started its re-construction this summer!

Being in an ever-changing world and an increasingly competitive environment, education needs to return to its original intent, helping children to build a good foundation, develop as a whole person, and cultivate the ability to adapt to new changes at any time. Children not only need to get the knowledge, but also need to learn how to collaborate, solve problems, and breakthrough, so as to establish a broader global awareness.

Upholding the original spirit of Montessori education and the efforts of keeping up with the current challenges, Xuhui campus has carried out a full range of facility upgrades:

1. We designed some of our classrooms as open spaces without fixed table or chair layouts, using movable furniture for easy and flexible adjustments. We divided up different functional activity areas for drama performance, reading , drawing, art and more, so as to inspire children with their curiosity and interests that may vary from each individual.

2. In the indoor environment, we upgraded the overall color scheme and lighting system, choosing warm and natural tones and materials, and making extensive use of natural light, combined with soft artificial lighting, to create a comfortable and warm environment. At the same time, by using soft colors and simple patterns for decoration, the elements in the environment will not be disturbing to children who are developing their concentration.

3. We have expanded our outdoor space by adding different exploration areas, such as sandboxes, climbing areas, and sensory gardens, to provide a variety of sensory stimulation and exploration opportunities.

4. We have added more plants to the outdoor planting area, including trees, bushes, flowers and lawn lights. We have carefully selected locally adapted plant species to ensure that children are immersed in the natural changes of the seasons, strengthening their bodies and minds in nature.

In the End

Since the opening of the Xuhui campus in 2007, the Nebula school has gone through 17 years of history, and this upgrade will undoubtedly give parents and children a new and refreshing experience!

At the same time, our original intention of practicing the Montessori philosophy remains unchanged. Our experienced Montessori teachers and staff who are passionate about education will, as always, provide children with companionship, support and guidance, follow the children’s natural growth patterns, respect the different personalities of each child, and help them to become their own unique selves!
