I never thought time would pass so quickly 2022 has gone in a flash. MSS has said goodbye to its 18th year and can’t wait to welcome in its 19th year.

Looking back at this past year, new families have continued to join MSS, learning, progressing, and growing together. As pioneers in Montessori education, MSS is always moving forward and striving to bring better services and experiences to you.

This year we have experienced many extraordinary moments. Looking back there was love and good memories everywhere and because of your recognition and support, we have continued to adhere to the Montessori concept and the same original intention of education!

January – February 2022

Welcome to the Year of the Tiger!

In the Year of the Tiger 2022, MSS prepared special activities to welcome the new year. The children made Chinese New Year scrolls and celebrated the Lantern Festival. We also enjoyed the Winter Olympics together! The children felt the joy of the New Year celebrations and enhanced their understanding of traditional Chinese festivals. The spirit of the Olympic games stimulates their creativity and develops strong will and courage in the Montessori environment. Creativity and strong willpower encourage children to face challenges without fear.

March-June 2022

MSS keeps upgrading and innovating

From March to June, Shanghai experienced extraordinary moments. MSS continued providing Montessori Education and helped parents at home to balance their work and life by offering support to families during this challenging period. MSS continuously upgraded, reaching out to families, and launching one-to-one Montessori lessons, so that children could experience Montessori education at home.

MSS held online lectures for parents and covered topics such as children’s mental health, sensory integration, the Montessori classroom, and the parent-child relationship. MSS used these lectures to achieve home interaction and cooperative co-parenting.

We held several Montessori lectures and live broadcasts, sharing Montessori Education and topics such as art, music, sports, science experiments, and positive thinking education. All of which harvested the support of many parents.

Online “Career Development Day”

On April 22nd, all MSS schools held a joint professional development day with the theme of “Learning through Exploration”. Due to the epidemic, this professional development day was an online training + communication and sharing session. Although we could not meet directly, all MSS teachers actively kept learning, and even during the extraordinary times, they never forgot to improve themselves and recharge themselves to serve our families.

July-August 2022

Introducing the delicious kitchen!

During the summer, MSS upgraded its kitchen ingredients! We have partnered with NPG Green Chicken to prepare a new meal package of healthy and safe food for children. We understand the importance of nutritious meals and food safety for children. We strive to ensure the freshness and safety of ingredients from the source and provide high-quality nutritional support for children’s Montessori life and learning.

Welcome Tips for the Start of the School Year

We issued “Tips for the New School Year” for all MSS families, from preparing for the new school year to the school routine, arriving and leaving on time, and other tips to build up expectations for families in advance. Since the start of the fall school year means that children will be transitioning from their summer routine to a new rhythm of life, parents may feel uneasy and, children may experience mood swings. At MSS, we believe it is our responsibility and obligation to prepare parents and children for school. We help everyone relax and smoothly navigate this natural time and start a new journey of growth.

September – October 2022

September School Season Welcomes the New School Year

In the bright sunshine of early autumn, September marked the long-awaited start of the school year at all three MSS campuses. September also saw the World Peace Day, which taught us to cherish peace!

The “Silent Journey “

It is the beginning of a new semester, and the “Silent Journey” at MSS is about to begin. We invite parents to come to a Montessori classroom, to be a child, and to experience Montessori education from a child’s perspective. The pace of parents will slow down. No matter how noisy the world is, parents can come to the “Silent Journey” and feel at peace. We each focus on and respect each other. So, when mom and dad join the “Silent Journey”, they will not be disturbed and will be respected. Through the Montessori materials and activities, we allow parents to experience the pure magic of the Montessori environment and enter the child’s “time and space”.

A variety of Autumn themed activities

In October, we celebrated National Day, United Nations Day, and various other autumn-themed activities. Allowing children to experience the meaning of cooperation, tolerance, and friendship amid this golden season. They experienced the harvest of growth, confidence, and joy ……

November-December 2022

Spring 2023 enrollment starts

From the beginning of the fall school year, MSS admissions received many calls from parents asking about reserving a place for the spring semester. To help you plan your kindergarten selection well in advance, MSS officially launched the 2023 spring admissions campaign in November. Registration channels have been fully opened to all families so that you can learn about MSS admissions.

MSS held a successful “Campus Exhibition”.

Time flies, and now it is December. For many graduating families, this is the time to start “worrying” about choosing elementary schools. MSS is thinking about parents’ needs and wants to bring the “Primary School Exhibition” directly to them! More than ten famous bilingual and international schools participated in the “Primary School Exhibition” held by MSS, providing on-site consultation for MSS graduates’ families. The campus exhibition was welcomed by the families of MSS graduates and received good comments from the participating schools. In the future, MSS will continue to provide quality and thoughtful services for MSS families. We will continue to help families and children on their future learning and growth paths!
