On April 21st, the Zion Education Group’s 2023 Professional Development Event was officially kicked off. Over 130 attendees from various business units of the group gathered at MSS Minhang Campus for a one-day academic exchange.

The event featured 12 thematic workshops, centering around various topics related to infant and child development as well as Montessori education. The employees of the group learned from each other, improved themselves, and demonstrated excellent concentration and learning ability!

PD Day is a tradition of the Zion Group, providing opportunities for employees to learn and communicate, helping them continuously improve their academic abilities and share experiences on the path of infant and child education!

We will now present to you a firsthand look at the scene of the Zion Group’s 2023 Professional Development Event!

Be courageous in Exploration and Fearless to Callenges.

At 9 a.m., with the introduction from the two hosts Naomi and Annie, PD Day officially began amidst a joyful vibe.

First, Mr. Ronny Hei, the chairman of the group, gave the opening keynote speech. He mentioned that in the past three years of the pandemic, the world has undergone tremendous changes. Fortunately, every Zion employee has closely cooperated and supported with each other, continuously gaining industry and parental recognition. He sincerely thanked every partner for their hard work and dedication!

Meanwhile, Ronny noted that 2023 marks the 19th anniversary of the Zion Group. Throughout these years, the group has remained true to professionalism and successfully led the industry’s development with its profound academic foundation and years of educational accumulation. Education is a lifelong career, and he believes that everyone will continue to work together, contribute their strength and wisdom to take Montessori early childhood education, children’s physical therapy, teacher training, family education, and psychological counseling to higher levels, and most importantly, offer quality services to children and parents.

The theme of this year’s PD Day is “Reaching New Heights”. Ronny emphasized that currently, there are huge changes in various aspects such as economy, policies, industry, market, population, and consumer habits. We will inevitably encounter more challenges, which puts forward new requirements for everyone-we should enhance our self-motivation for learning and remain fearless to challenges.

Unlock Infinite Potential in Limited Life

At the event, we were honored to invite Mr. Wang Jiachao, a Paralympic champion, as our special guest speaker.

Mr. Wang is the only disabled athlete representing China to participate in both swimming and Ironman triathlon competitions. He has participated in four Paralympic Games and 22 World Championships. In 2020, he ranked third in the world Ironman triathlon rankings. Throughout his athletic career, he has won numerous awards, and after retirement, he continues to reflect on his future direction, being a positive thinker and doer, successfully obtaining a master’s degree with fluent self-taught English. Now, he has joined the youth sports education, constantly encouraging young people to join the sports world and helping more people benefit from sports. His love of life and perseverance have inspired countless people, especially families and children.

The tremendous changes of the society urge us to possess tenacity and stronger willpower so as to remain positive and motivated, putting our ideas into actions. Mr. Wang Jiachao is the one who has extended his resilience and willpower to the extreme in his own field of expertise. At the PD Day event, he shared his personal experience of how he faced difficulties and overcame challenges, which touched everyone present, and won thunderous applause. Every Zion employee was inspired by his spirit.

12 Thematic Workshops

The PD Day this year featured 12 thematic workshops centering around various professional topics related to infant and child development as well as Montessori education. The themes and speakers were as follows:

All of our speakers are senior professionals, teachers, and experts in the field of early childhood education and Montessori education. They are experienced veterans with solid practical experience. The well-prepared workshop has benefited every attendee of Zion Group!

Exciting Team Building Activities and Gratitude Session

After the workshops, all the attendees went outdoors and participated in fun and unique team-building activities enjoying the happy vibe and letting loose.

Then, the seminar of the day came to a close, and Mr. Ronny presented flowers and commemorative plaques to teachers, expressing gratitude for their hard work on behalf of all Zion people. “Let us all work together to innovate and stay true to our original aspirations!”, he concluded.

Something More to Say

From mid-December last year to April this year, the PD Day went through four-month preparation and planning, and the credit goes to all Zion people for their efforts and wisdom. In the past 20 years, every Zion partner has remained committed to their original aspiration, worked together, and pioneered one after another in Montessori early childhood education, children’s therapy, teacher training, family education, and psychological counseling, among many other fields. Remaining true to the original aspiration and pursuing innovative breakthroughs is the gene and core competitiveness of every Zion employee. The progress and growth of teachers will ultimately benefit every child in the Montessori environment!

In 2023, with a new start and new heights, the Zion Group will continue to uphold the original aspiration of education, adhere to the core Montessori philosophy and professionalism, and continue to cultivate the “inner strength” in teaching, research, and academia.

We always hold onto our dreams, and on the journey of education, we will walk together hand in hand!
