How time flies…

In September, the MSS campus is warm and bright. The early autumn sun is still shining brightly on the faces of the children.

It has been a month since school started, and the children’s lives are returning to our new normal. Every day brings new opportunities to learn.

There are more “people in blue” on campus to supervise safety and virus prevention as an essential and active aspect of campus life.

Recent events have reminded us that we all go through special moments where inner peace is all the more important and precious.

September 21st is International Peace Day.
Together, we wish for world peace and give thanks.

The Ritual of Peace

What is World Peace?

How can we explain the meaning of peace to innocent and curious children?

Teachers guided children in preparing decorations and introduced peace activities early in September to create a “sense of ritual” for the children.

When it comes to peace, we immediately think of the peace dove. Every year at MSS, the children paint the dove of peace with bright and rich colours.

White candles are also a representation of peace. In classrooms across MSS, children sit together, holding small candles, and sing the song of peace.

Peace is a shared aspiration of people all over the world. In hope, we paint the small hands together and then print the colourful handprint on the canvas.

We bring the world to life with a large world map. We put the continents together to see the world is a beautiful place, and every person is special. We feel closer to our friends near and far.

Truth be told, children are creating every moment-

Bright, colourful hats help to create a joyful atmosphere!

Small fans decorated with olive branches brighten the crowd as the children sing.

Children smile brightly with their colourful peace signs.

Through these fun and creative activities, we subtly help children develop awareness and make them feel inner peace and joy.

Peace Comes from Within

Peace is essential to us all.

The “peace” that adults talk about is too abstract. Children’s lives are simple, and teachers communicate with them in a language they can understand and relate to their world.

“If you argue with a friend, should you push him?”

“If you get angry while playing with your friends, what should you do?”

This vocabulary comes from the real lives of children, and solving problems peacefully is the attitude we want to convey.

You argue with a friend? It is ok. Talk and apologize to each other, shake hands and make peace.

— Are you unhappy and angry? Take a deep breath. The teacher can see your emotion, go to the peace corner and calm down.

Peace is inseparable from the Montessori philosophy, which we have adhered to for 20 years.

When children enter Montessori, they will meet many new friends to learn, play, and cooperate with – school is a social environment for children.

Whether it is between adults or children, there will always be conflicts, and children will have a variety of emotions…

Our teachers will patiently accompany and guide the child and teach them to be kind to others and to communicate peacefully.

Elegance and courtesy are important components of Montessori Education.

Peace is not weakness or compromise but a way of seeing the world on the basis of understanding yourself and respecting others.

Children will one day leave their small community and enter society. In the face of the larger world, they will bring their inner strength.

So, what is peace exactly?
Peace is love in your heart, to be courtesy and humble;
Peace is understanding oneself, being respectful and kind;
Peace is by no means a superficial song or dance or a pretence to maintain an illusion;
Peace is the love of life.

Although the world is big, we can spread peace no matter what we do or where we go – we always have respect and peace in our hearts.

Although the world is big, we can spread peace no matter what we do or where we go – we always have respect and peace in our hearts.

When we accept differences and parent with love and kindness, we will find peace and love everywhere.
