Graduate Interview Series

Since the founding of the school in 2004, we have had numerous outstanding graduates who are now all over the world, the oldest of whom have entered well-known universities abroad for further study, while many others are taking new challenges, and going through their own path in elementary and high schools in China or overseas. We are glad to hear about their growth and indeed very proud of the fact that we as MSS witnessed their preschool years.

To tell their stories, we planned a Graduate Interview Series, which takes Montessori families and readers on a journey through their Montessori life. The series of stories touched the heart of many families. We are now planning to continue this series and will share more stories of our wonderful graduates!

Welcome Back to MSS This Spring

After the Chinese New Year holiday, the children returned to school with joy and started a brand new life in the Montessori school! The teachers of the three MSS campuses carefully prepared the opening ceremony to welcome our parents and children! They put up the decorations nicely and prepared well for this reunion.

March to May

Spring Theme Activities

During the spring of 2023, MSS campuses held a variety of spring-themed events, including Family Day, Career Day, and Charity Community Carnival.

MSS always focuses on the holistic development of children’s body, mind and soul.Teachers prepare lessons and activities that strengthen the sensory, social, and motor skills needed for children’s healthy development.Meanwhile, MSS devotes much attention to the connection between the school and the family, advocating the real-life and natural environment where children can experience.

April

PD Day of ZION

On April 21st, the Zion Education Group’s 2023 Professional Development Event was officially kicked off. Over 130 attendees from various business units of the group gathered at MSS Minhang Campus for a one-day academic exchange. The event featured 12 thematic workshops, centering around various topics related to infant and child development as well as Montessori education.PD Day is a tradition of the Zion Group, providing opportunities for employees to learn and communicate, helping them continuously improve their academic abilities and share experiences on the path of infant and child education!

Next April, 2024 Spring PD Day is coming. At the time, we will introduce a new format and theme content, and it will be open to more people, so stay tuned!

Children’s Day

We had a rich schedule on the first of June, the Children’s Day. It included various performances and activities. Along with lovely music, the children showed their lovely singing and dancing. In the free time, the children indeed enjoyed their free play! Teachers were also greatly touched by the atmosphere and they were also having fun as if it’s their childhood again.

SMG Interview

This June, SMG’s enchanting program “News Classmate – Education Leaders” on Haha Xuandong TV featured an enthralling interview with none other than Jasmine Dong, the visionary Head of MSS Xuhui Campus. A deep and engaging dialogue ensued, where Jasmine shed light on the development of MSS Xuhui Campus and the core tenets of Montessori education. Furthermore, she unveiled the remarkable qualities and advantages of children who blossom in the nurturing embrace of MSS’s Montessori environment.

Graduation Ceremony

In June, graduates had their first graduation ceremony in their lives! Through their time spent living and learning in the MSS Montessori environment, they have made remarkable progress in various aspects such as concentration, hands-on ability, self-care skills, language proficiency, logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, emotional expression, social skills, and more.

We believe that the skills children acquire at MSS will continue to help them establish solid study habits and foundations for growth in primary, middle, and high school, and even throughout their entire lives. This will enable them to gain richer and more colorful life experiences and a greater sense of confidence, satisfaction, and achievement.

Graduates’ Destination School List

The MSS graduation season is a momentous occasion for our children every year. It not only signifies the completion of their journey through kindergarten, celebrating their growth and achievements, but also heralds the beginning of a new chapter in their educational voyage: primary school!

In July, we shared a list of schools that the 2023 MSS graduates will be moving up to, congratulating the children on their accomplishments and wishing each and every one of them continued progress and courage in their future endeavors!

Summer Camp

Amidst the sweltering summer heat and the rhythmic symphony of cicadas, MSS Summer Camp children are basking in the most scorching time of the year, making the most of their special moments at MSS.

Welcome Back to MSS This Autumn

The beginning of the school year holds a special allure for every child and family: familiar settings, long-lost friends, and, of course, our newest students, brimming with curiosity and an affection for the Montessori approach, now joining the ever-welcoming MSS family.Whether they’re newcomers embarking on their Montessori journey or families that have been an integral part of the MSS community for years, the dedicated staff across MSS’s three campuses eagerly await the chance to meet children.Amidst the welcome ceremony on the first day of school, a brand new chapter unfurls in the lives of the children.

Nido Classes/Parent-Child Classes

In response to a growing demand from families, MSS has introduced its innovative Nido class.This unique program provides parents with a gateway into the Montessori environment, offering valuable insights into their child’s developmental journey.Through the class, parents can dispel uncertainties, revamp their parenting philosophies, navigate parenting challenges, and enhance their parenting skills.

Family Day

In this golden month of October, MSS celebrated its Family Day! Family Day has always been our tradition, with brilliant performances and wonderful parent-child time, all of which highlighed MSS Family Day’s original intention and responsibility to connect with families and integrate into the community. We are committed to creating a community family that is full of respect, friendship and inclusiveness, supporting each other and spreading happiness!

Parents Education(through out the school year)

Throughout children’s growth, besides school education, family education plays an equally crucial part. We are committed not only to helping children better grow and develop, but also to assisting parents understand the stages of their children’s development and proactively dealing with possible challenges in the parenting process. MSS Parent Education is an excellent opportunity for communication and experience sharing.MSS holds its monthly parent education workshops to provide quality practical Montessori and parenting content to all current MSS families.

2024 Spring Enrollment

From the beginning of the fall school year, MSS admissions received many calls from parents asking about reserving a place for the spring semester. To help you plan your kindergarten selection well in advance, MSS officially launched the 2024 spring admissions campaign in November. Registration channels have been fully opened to all families so that you can learn about MSS admissions information for the first time and welcome the bright spring of 2024 together!

‘The Cause of the World’ Charity Auction Success

December 8, 2023, Ms. Jixueping, a psychologist, educator, and philanthropist from Envision Culture of Zion Education Group, was invited to attend the first Consul General Cultural Charity Night and donated her new book “The Causes of the World” as one of the auction items to raise funds for people in need.Finally, The Cause of the World became the finale auction item, starting at 1 yuan and ending with a final transaction price of 20,000 yuan, which marked a perfect ending to the charity night.

AMS Leadership Visit ZION

It was a sunny day on December 5th and Ms. Gina, Senior Director of AMS Global Strategy, Ms. Melina, Director of AMS Teacher Training Center, Ms. Jesmine, Consultant of AMS China, and their team came to Zion Education Group for a visit. They highly appreciated and recognized the Group’s efforts as an advocate of the Montessori education philosophy, providing high-quality Montessori school environments, and training outstanding Montessori talents in China.

School Fair

As time goes by, MSS is once again having its annual School Fair. We invited a number of Shanghai’s leading international and bilingual elementary schools to the MSS campuses to provide information to MSS graduating families to learn more about their elementary choices.This year, in 2023, was the first school fair after the COVID. We saw a record number of participating families and exhibiting schools on site. The School Fair was greatly welcomed by MSS parents.Meanwhile, the participating schools also highly recognized the School Fair!

Winter Music Festival

This December, all three MSS campuses held their unique Winter Music Festival! The lively performances of the children in the concert were the best showcase of the MSS Montessori pedagogy, providing parents the opportunity to witness the growth of their Montessori children. The Winter Music Festival not only brought joy and opportunities for the children to express themselves, but also valuable parent-child time for the families!
