Family Day at Xuhui Campus

The day of October 21^st is also the day of the Diverse Cultural Family Day at MSS XH Campus! We arranged our activities according to the continents around the world and invited talented parents who brought us fantastic performance and activities, such as making specialties, artworks, sports and games, music and dance, instruments etc.

We also created a Photo Corner for our Costume Play, where children were able to take their own photos with costumes of different countries, so as to see the beauty of the colorful cultures with much fun.

MSS it self is a culturally diverse community, we have families that are from different parts of the world bringing together their own cultural backgrounds. Teachers at XH really would provided an opportunity that parents would be able to know a little more about one another through this campus event. Children also experienced different cultures and feel how beautiful and inclusive the world is.

More importantly, we expected to provide parents this great opportunity and atmosphere that they would be able to spend quality parenting time with children at our events.

Family Day at Minhang Campus

With peals of laughter, MH campus kicked off its United Nations Day on the 21^st of October! Our classes prepared items from 15 different countries, giving us a glimpse of the diverse cultures of the world. Before each booth of the country, its national flag, books, artworks were displayed. They were all made by our children, teachers and parents with their creation and contribution.

Football from Brazil, rugby from New Zealand, the Eiffel Tower from Paris…teachers prepared lovely games and activities that would introduce our children the features of different countries with so much fun.

Putting on costumes from different nations and countries, children took their small passports to collect stamps . It was like travelling around the world at home!

With the family day event, MH teachers invited children to learn about the cultural diversity of different countries. They would see how tolerant and inclusive the world is. Within this great community, we should respect one another, treat everyone equally and learn to collaborate. At MSS, we have many families that are from different parts of the world and their stories also help children develop national confidence and get satisfaction.

Family Day at WHQ Campus

Children worked together and created four beautifully painted artworks with group efforts. It was nicely displayed on the family day. Some classes used all kinds of materials and ingredients, and made a scarecrow and a piece of art to celebrate the great harvest.

Pumpkins, dates, chestnuts, sugar canes, heads of grain…teachers decorated the campus with various crops that are related to the days in fall. We were all immersed in the autumnal atmosphere. Local snacks of the season were also provided on campus like sweet potatoes, rice cakes, dry dates, persimmons…

The Family Day at WHQ was not only for children, but also for dads and moms to chill out. There was also a lot of entertainment with arts, clay, science experiments, music games, sports, dentist role play, flea market, adult one on one, yoga with children, outdoor karaoke…

When finding something interesting, parents and children enjoyed themselves in all kinds of fun activities. When getting tired, children would have popcorn and their movie time, while dads and moms would be able have coffee or wine in the fresh air and relax themselves right before a motorhome. For the families, it was a great time to enjoy themselves with family members and the community all together.
